The Executive Mayor of Drakenstein, Conrad Poole, has shared his festive-season sentiments with residents.
“Christmas is traditionally a time for family and friends to gather around, celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and spend time with those closest to us,” his message says.
“It is also a time to count our blessings and reflect on the year that has passed.
“May this festive season unite us all and let us not forget those less fortunate than ourselves. Celebrate, but do so responsibly; be safe and consider other people.
“My New Year’s wish for each resident of Drakenstein is happiness, good health and prosperity. May we as a community draw closer to one another and continue to build our city of excellence.”
