The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) was experiencing a shortage of the O-blood group, with only three days’ supply left. Other groups experiencing a shortage were A+, B+ and B- blood groups. WCBS appeals to all eligible donors to give blood today.
Blood donation takes only 30 minutes, and up to three lives can be saved. WCBS encouraged all blood donors to find their closest clinic in support of the many patients who need blood critically.
