The online admissions for the 2024 school year will close on Friday 14 April.
According to Western Cape MEC for education’ David Maynier, it is important that parents apply before the deadline. This will help the department to plan more effectively for placement of learners.
“Parents who experience technical problems are able to log a query using the ‘contact us’ option at the top of the admissions page, and we will assist parents with technical issues to resolve each and every problem as soon as possible. Our technical team worked long hours throughout weekends and the public holiday to follow up on any outstanding queries.”
The necessary documents to support learners’ application forms are: the last official school report card, ID, birth certificate, passport of the learner or a study permit (foreign learners), proof of application (study permit) or a police affidavit (if the other documents are not available), immunisation card (primary school learners), proof of residence (rates account, lease agreement, an affidavit confirming residence).
