Due to the recent fire at Paarl’s Home Affairs office on 29 November, the office will be temporarily closed with no opening date as of yet.
The office is, however, putting systems in place to provide limited emergency services.
This was a decision made by the national department of labour and not Paarl Home Affairs itself.
There are also currently no working telephone lines.
The following services will be rendered from the mobile truck outside the office in Castle Street:
- Urgent passport collections.
- ID collections.
Birth registrations are to be collected at the Paarl state hospital.
Death registrations must be referred to (or done at) the Malmesbury, Worcester and Stellenbosch home affairs branches.
