The picturesque town of Paarl has once again been selected as one of the primary shooting locations for the highly anticipated thriller film Novocaine, set to hit theatres in March 2025. The filming has sparked a buzz of anticipation among residents and filmmakers alike, as production crews descended on the Paarl Central Business District (CBD) to capture key scenes for the movie. Novocaine centres on a sheltered bank executive (Jack Quaid) with a rare genetic condition that prevents him from feeling pain. When his bank is robbed and one of his co-workers (Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped he is forced to act and turn his greatest liability into his greatest strength.
