CAPE TOWN – The 1st Muizenberg Sea Scout Group is gearing up for its 3rd Annual Easter Fun Fundraiser, promising a festive, family-friendly day out for the community.

Open to all, the event invites families to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs and settle in for a relaxed day filled with activities and entertainment for children and adults alike.

Young visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions, including an exciting Easter egg hunt, creative Easter craft activities, and a jumping castle.

A highlight of the day will be the raffle draw for a giant chocolate bunny valued at R1500, generously sponsored by Geldhof Chocolatiers.

Fundraiser proceeds

Raffle tickets are available for purchase even for those unable to attend the event in person, giving everyone a chance to participate and support the cause.

Food and refreshments will also be available, with a tuckshop and traditional boerie braai on offer to keep guests fuelled throughout the day.

The fundraiser plays a vital role in supporting the Sea Scout group, a registered non-profit organisation.

All proceeds go directly towards keeping membership fees affordable and ensuring that the Scouting programme remains accessible to as many children as possible.

The group is known for its active role in the community, offering youth development opportunities and contributing to local initiatives.

Organisers have extended their gratitude to sponsors and parents who have contributed to making the event possible, and they look forward to welcoming the community for a day of fun, connection and giving back.

Tickets for the event are available via presale only and can be purchased through an online booking link or by contacting the organiser directly.

Community members are encouraged to secure their tickets early and show their support.
