A NEW chapter has begun for Jabulile “Jabu” Gxokoshe after signing a two-year deal and one-year option with Milford FC, based in KwaZulu-Natal, where he will be playing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, previously known as NFD.

Milford FC is based in Richards Bay and last season Milford FC competed at the ABC Motsepe League in KwaZulu-Natal, but the owners bought the status from Uthongathi FC (NFD).

Gxokoshe is one of the top talented young stars currently in South Africa, and his exploits have already started attracting big clubs in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

He signed his contract with KwaZulu-Natal a few days ago and this is his first-ever contract in professional football at this level, NFD.

So far Jabu has featured in three friendly matches, as Milford FC troops prepare for the kick-off of the season which is expected to start on August 25.

He told Mthatha Express that he is ready for the challenge.

Gxokoshe was born in Qweqwe locality in Mthatha.

Last season he played for Bush Bucks FC at the ABC Motsepe League.
