NTABANKULU team Executive Ladies is the only team to remain unbeaten in the Sasol League Inland Stream, after playing four games this season.

This follows after Coach Khetho Ngonini’s team, Executive Ladies, continued their impressive season start when they demolished one of the bottom teams, 4800 Ladies’ FC, 9–0 away, over the weekend.

The weekend results mean that Ngonini’s team has registered four consecutive league victories since the start of the season a few weeks ago, and have yet to taste a defeat or draw.

Currently the Ntabankulu team occupies top spot in the Sasol League table standings with 12 points, followed by the Ngcobo team, Eastern Cape Peace Lovers FC, in second, with 12 points.

These two top teams are separated by a goal difference which favours the log leaders. Eastern Cape Peace Lovers FC has already played five games this season.

Over the weekend, Eastern Cape Peace Lovers FC beat mid-table side Red Roses Ladies’ FC by 2–0 to keep chasing for the top spot position.

Ayakha Stars FC, from Mthatha, and WSU Mthatha Campus Ladies are also chasing the top spot as they have nine points each on the league table standings after four games.

On Saturday, WSU Mthatha Campus Ladies defeated mid-table side Eastern Rangers FC by 2–1 at home, to improve their points tally.

They now occupy fourth place, while Ayakha Stars FC are third.

In other weekend results, Coastal United Ladies’ FC has beaten their fellow bottom-place side, Cumakala FC, by 1–0 in a relegation battle.

On Saturday all top four teams will be in action and fighting for maximum points, as the battle for the top position continues.

Ngcobo team, Eastern Cape Peace Lovers FC, will host 4800 Ladies’ FC, and log leaders Executive Ladies will visit Eastern Rangers FC, while Ayakha Stars FC and WSU Mthatha Campus Ladies will battle in an Mthatha derby, and Coastal United Ladies’ FC will host Red Roses Ladies.

All these games will be played in the afternoon.
