The South African Police Services (SAPS) will host its annual Career Expo at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London on Saturday, August 5.

According to Police spokesperson, Captain Hazel Mqala confirmed that Deputy Minister of Police Cassel Mathale and the National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola, will attend this event.

She said the SAPS Career Expo aims to market the various careers within the SAPS.

According to her, over and above its crime-combating responsibilities, it has accountants, vets, lawyers, auditors and veterinarians.

“The Career Expo will also be an eye-opener and expose matriculants and graduates to the various career paths in the SAPS.

It will also serve as an opportunity to attract young people who are interested in joining the SAPS in the quest to fight against crime through the SAPS Basic Police Learning Development Training Program (BPLDTP).
