Police have opened a murder investigation after a 54-year-old man was shot and killed in a shopping centre parking lot on Klipfontein Road on Thursday 16 April.
Mowbray police responded to reports of gunfire at about 13:40. On arrival, officers found the man inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.
“The motive for the attack is yet to be determined,” said police spokesperson, Constable Ndakhe Gwala.
Police confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
