CAPE TOWN – Police in Lentegeur are searching for unknown gunmen after a man was shot several times while sitting in his car on Monday morning, 25 May.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting to come forward.
The shooting took place at about 08:00 on the corner of Weltervreden Valley and Highlands Drive. A man was shot multiple times in his white Renault. The gunmen fled the scene on foot.

Police appeal for information
The Lentegeur South African Police Service (SAPS) is asking members of the public who may have seen anything to come forward.
Police have stressed that the shooting occurred in broad daylight, meaning there may be witnesses who can assist with the investigation.
Anyone with information was urged to contact Detective Thompson on 066 204 4644.
Rumours on the ground
Crime fighters on the ground the shooting may be linked to two deadly incidents on Sunday, but police were unable to confirm this.
On Sunday, in two separate shootings, two people were killed and five others wounded in shooting in Tafelsig in the morning and Eastridge in the evening.
