THE Gamtoos Valley education charity, Youth Potential South Africa (YOUPSA), graduated from the GlobalGiving Accelerator programme, gaining entry into the GlobalGiving marketplace and becoming a recognised partner of GlobalGiving.

As part of the Accelerator, YOUPSA raised $5,840 from 97 unique individual donors to support their project, “Support a class of at-risk South African children.”

“We’re thrilled to have YOUPSA as part of our community. YOUPSA has met our rigorous vetting standards for trust and community support, and we’re committed to providing tools, training, and support as they learn, grow and become more effective,” said Mari Kuraishi, President and Co-Founder of GlobalGiving. “GlobalGiving donors value the opportunity to support non-profit organisations like YOUPSA, knowing that they’ll get regular updates about how their donations are put to work.”

YOUPSA Project Leader Ray Schone, says, “With the help of residents we bring creative youth empowerment programmes to Grades 4 to 12 learners on a weekly basis. These programmes equip each learner with unique learning experiences that reaches beyond the classroom and into the community.”
