The Kouga region is set to host its first-of-its-kind wedding showcase – the Greater Garden Route Wedding Expo, taking place on 23 and 24 August 2025 at the breathtaking Mentors Country Estate in Jeffreys Bay.

This landmark event will highlight the world-class talent, venues, and wedding services that make the Greater Garden Route, including the Kouga area, one of South Africa’s most sought-after wedding destinations.

Presented by RED Creative Collaboration, in partnership with Kouga Local Municipality and Mentors Country Estate, the Expo will bring together top-tier wedding suppliers, creatives, and venues under one roof.

Born from a shared love for beautiful beginnings – whether on windswept beaches or in whimsical chapels – the Expo is designed to connect engaged couples with industry professionals, while also boosting tourism and showcasing the region’s natural beauty, luxury, and hospitality.

By uniting the finest venues, creatives, and service providers, this unique event promises an inspiring celebration of all things wedding.

Residents and visitors alike are warmly invited to be part of the story.

“This is more than just an exhibition,” says Rieghard Janse van Rensburg, lead organiser and co-founder of RED Creative Collaboration. “It’s an opportunity for the local wedding industry to demonstrate its creativity, excellence, and originality on a professional platform, and for couples to discover just how much Kouga and the Greater Garden Route have to offer.”

The event will feature:

• A curated selection of wedding vendors, from photographers and dress designers to florists, coordinators, caterers, officiants, and more.

• Daily fashion shows.

“The Greater Garden Route Wedding Expo is more than just a weekend event; it is a movement to elevate the Kouga region and establish it as South Africa’s premier wedding destination.”
