Its biggest town, Jeffreys Bay, is one of the world’s most famous surfing destinations. The most famous surf spot in J-Bay is Supertubes, considered one of the best right-hand point breaks in the world. The town hosts the annual World Surf League (WSL) event, attracting top surfers from around the globe. Jeffreys Bay will once again host a leg of the 2025 World Surf League (WSL) Championship from 11 to 20 July next year.
Jeffreys Bay is also known for its rich marine life. Dolphins are frequently seen playing in the waves, and during certain times of the year, whales can be spotted off the coast. The beaches of Jeffreys Bay are famous for their abundance of seashells, attracting shell collectors from all over the world.
Apart from surfing, Jeffreys Bay offers a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, horse riding, and hiking.
