ST FRANCIS BAY – After a few quiet years, the St Francis Tourism Golf Day is making a long-awaited return on 28 March at the St Francis Bay Golf Club, and it’s shaping up to be the kind of community event locals will look forward to year after year.

Teeing off at 11:00, the Golf Day brings together competitive play, serious prizes and a renewed focus on creating an event that belongs to the St Francis community.

One of the standout moments on the course will be the hole-in-one opportunity, proudly supported by Dirk Ellis Volkswagen and Just Property, with a Volkswagen Polo Vivo 1.4 Life up for grabs, valued at R280,000.

Adding to the excitement, every golfer automatically receives entry into the raffle, with prizes valued at over R40,000.

The main prize is a two-night stay for two at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, offering winners the chance to experience one of Africa’s most iconic destinations.

As with all prizes on the day, participants will need to be present to win.

The Golf Day flows seamlessly into the afternoon with Sip ‘n Stride, starting at 16:00.

This relaxed walk around the golf course opens the event to families, friends and non-golfers, creating a festive atmosphere that extends the day well beyond the final hole.

Importantly, a large portion of the funds raised during Sip ‘n Stride will be donated to the Disaster Volunteer Group (DVG), ensuring the event delivers meaningful support where it’s needed most.

With golf, prizes, a family-friendly follow-on event and opportunities for businesses and individuals to get involved through sponsorships, prizes or activations, the St Francis Tourism Golf Day marks the beginning of what is intended to become a much-loved annual tradition.
