To celebrate the arrival of spring, a season synonymous with growth and new beginnings, the Kouga Business Forum and Gamtoos Ferry Hotel are set to host an enchanting event titled “Women that Sparkle in the Spring.”
This women’s empowerment gathering, featuring the inspirational motivational speaker, Anja van Beek, will take place on September 14, at the picturesque Gamtoos Ferry Hotel, nestled along the serene banks of the Gamtoos River.
According to Annette Herselman, owner of the Gamtoos Ferry Hotel, women often face many challenges.
The women’s empowerment event therefore seeks to revitalise their spirit, introducing a “new sparkle” that fuels inspiration, motivation, and a renewed sense of direction as they step into the new season.
While women in South Africa, particularly female entrepreneurs, face a multitude of challenges, Herselman pointed out that there are many opportunities for growth, empowerment, and success.
These opportunities can help women overcome hurdles and achieve their goals.
“Winter is leaving and spring is on the way. We want women to see this as a positive change where they can feel inspired,” said Herselman.
She described the event as a lovely morning outing, featuring a showcase of exceptional artwork by local artists and a selection of fine wines produced by women in the community, offering visitors a unique and enjoyable experience.
Guest speaker at the event, Van Beek, is an international coach, speaker, trainer, and published author, with more than 20 years of experience enhancing the performance of individual executives, teams, and organisations.
As a leadership, human resource, and executive coach at Agile Talent Strategist, she is passionate about empowering others to find their inner strength and pursue their true passions in life.
Van Beek said that being in a corporate environment for more than two decades, she has seen numerous people get stuck and lose the ability to accomplish what is most important to them.
“Living a purpose-driven life where abundance leads you and happiness follows is something that every person deserves,” said Van Beek.
She said her true fulfilment lies with guiding other people to realise that life has so much more to offer than what they have established as their reality.
“Today is all that matters because the decisions taken will affect the outcome of tomorrow. You are more than enough – in your career, as a wife, a partner or a mom. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle or influence your energy,” she said.
The event will start at 10:00 and will include welcome drinks, delicious refreshments, an art showcase, and wine tasting.
Tickets cost R300 per person and can be purchased on Quicket or by sending a WhatsApp message to Leilani Coetsee at 084 681 3702.
