KOUGA Municipality’s official water mascot, Splash, needs a friend to help curb water wastage during the prolonged drought in the region.
“We need residents’ assistance to help pick the perfect friend for this cute blue drop,” said Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks.
“Whether it is a superhero, a pet or a water-saving friend – all suggestions are welcome.”
The winning friend will be announced on the Kouga Municipality’s Facebook page, with the person who suggested the name receiving a special gift from the municipality and a R750 Fountains Mall shopping voucher.
The new friend will accompany Splash on water awareness campaigns to schools, businesses, and events.
To enter the “Find Splash a Friend” competition, send an SMS or WhatsApp with your suggestion to 067 108 2968. Pictures are also welcome.
The deadline for entries is at 12:00 on Friday, May 28.
No late messages will be considered, and the decision of the judges is final.
