IT is a medical condition that is more wide-spread than people want to admit, and at the same time one of the least likely topics of discussion.
But a major breakthrough in battling the stigma was achieved when two Jeffreys Bay residents added an extra dimension to their company’s success by establishing an online store for people suffering from incontinence.
This modern tech approach was launched by the company that Casper and Anne-Marie Nice bought in 2018 and had it renamed to Dignity4You.
The retired chemical engineer and his spouse (a retired teacher) relocated to Jeffreys Bay in 2017 to support her ailing mother. In the process they were made aware of the elderly’s heavy financial burden incurred by the high cost of incontinence products. This led to their investing in a Cape Town based business which was on the verge of closing down.
Their vision became a venture of faith when they realised that their products not only cut users’ cost, but restored their dignity at the same time.
The results were so positive that they have since been expanding their supply of re-usable and cheaper incontinence products, while simultaneously restoring hope.

Dignity4You currently sells seven products, which include waterproofs, underwear, nappies and waterproof draw sheets. Products are washable and re-usable. All these are washable, can last for up to a year, while the plastic pollution is reduced to almost 100%.
Products have also become popular with pregnant women, paraplegics, crop spraying pilots, men with prostate problems and cancer patients.
A sister company was recently launched in the Netherlands in collaboration with their daughter who lives there.
