IS it the pink army? Is it a pink wave? Is it pink cotton candy?
No! It is the annual Kouga Express Cansa Pink Shavathon.
The Kouga Express team, in conjunction with Cansa Jeffreys Bay and Hankey Spar, is set to tackle residents with spray cans or clippers – all for a good cause.
Spray, shave and donate
The second annual Kouga Express Cansa Pink Shavathon will take over Hankey Spar from 10:00 to 13:00 on Saturday, October 27.
Residents and visitors keen to show their support for this fun-filled, yet meaningful event, in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, can venture down to Hankey Spar from where the Kouga Express team, in conjunction with Hankey Spar and Cansa will be waiting to shave, cut or spray their hair.
Ponytails of 25cm in length or longer, will go towards making wigs for cancer patients in need.
And wear your best ‘pink outfit’ to stand a chance to win a lucky prize.
All it will cost participants are a few minutes of their time and a few Rand out of their wallets. All funds will go towards research to help find a cure for cancer, as well as to assist local cancer patients in financial need.
