HUMANSDORP – There was an unmistakable buzz of excitement at Stulting Primary School on Thursday, 5 February 2026, as the school officially celebrated the handover of its newly resurfaced multipurpose sports courts, a milestone made possible through the generous support of the Kouga Windfarm Community Development Trust.

The event marked far more than the completion of an infrastructure project. It was a celebration of partnership, progress, and the belief that investing in young people builds stronger communities.
The upgraded netball and tennis courts now boast a modern, high-quality Lokflor multipurpose surface, transforming the space into a vibrant, safe, and durable facility.
Designed to accommodate netball, tennis, athletics, cricket, and hockey, the courts will create new opportunities for learner participation, skill development, and healthy competition for years to come.
Addressing guests during the ceremony, Stulting Primary School principal Cornelius Coetzer expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Trust for its commitment to education, sport, and community upliftment.
He emphasised that the project represents much more than a physical upgrade.
“This is an investment in opportunity,” he said, “and in the future of every learner who will step onto these courts.”
The sense of appreciation was echoed by Oloff Cilliers, Chairman of the School Governing Body, who thanked the Trust on behalf of the parents and the wider school community for their meaningful contribution to the lives of the learners.
Adding to the significance of the day, Siyabulela Zondani, Projects Operations Manager of the Kouga Windfarm Community Development Trust, shared his pride in the project, noting that this development is the first of its kind for the Trust.
He explained that it sets an important benchmark and will help shape future community initiatives supported by the organisation.
As learners eagerly look forward to putting the new courts to good use, the Stulting Primary community has committed itself to caring for and fully utilising this outstanding facility.
With fresh surfaces underfoot, the courts stand as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when education, sport, and community partners come together.
