TheMentors Cricket Club was privileged to play cricket again after a very long break due to COVID-19 and were able to participate in the Eastern Province Cricket League between November 2021 and March this year.
Mentors Cricket Club did exceptionally well, this season, as they entered three teams in the league.
The first league team was undefeated, as they won 10 games out of 10, with 49 points, while the second league (T20) team was placed fifth with 16 points.
The fourth league (T20) team won the league out of 16 teams, with 21 points. The best batsman of the season 21/22 was Ben Steyn with an average of 64.25 and the best bowler of the season was Tian van Huyssteen taking 12 wickets in 25 overs for 54 runs.
Mentors’ cricket player of the season 21/22 was Déan Rohrbeck with 421 runs, an average of 105.25 average and 13 wickets from 31 overs for 137 runs.
