THE Sarah Baartman District Municipality (SBDM) conveys its sincere condolences to the family of the late councillor, Zoliswa Funiselo ,who passed away on May 25, after a short illness.
Funiselo served as the portfolio councillor for Planning and Economic Development within the SBDM at the time of her passing.
“Councillor Funiselo was a woman of integrity and had a true passion for service delivery. Her presence will be missed as she was an integral part of the mayoral committee,” said Executive Mayor Deon De Vos, who has worked alongside Funiselo.
“To her family, friends, and colleagues, I wish to extend my condolences; this is a sad day for the district.”
He further said that Funiselo, who served as a member of the SBDM council for six years, will be dearly missed by staff and councillors.
Funiselo’s funeral will take place in Cookhouse, her home town.
The funeral proceedings will start at home at 116 Magxaki Street, Cookhouse at 08:00. The funeral will then continue at the Anglican Church in Cookhouse.
