How it works
To be part of the Kouga Express Cansa Shavathon Business Challenge, is as easy as one . . . two . . . three.
First, interested businesses must contact the Kouga Express.
SECONDLY, armed with spray cans, the Kouga Express team will visit participating businesses to spray their hair a multitude of colours in return for a monetary donation paid directly to Cansa SA. The donation amount depends on the business – whether it is big or small; every Rand will make a difference.
Lastly, businesses are encouraged to challenge other businesses in the region to go colourful and join the challenge.
The photos of participating businesses will be published in the Kouga Express.
The challenge ends on February 25.
Cansa Shavathon
Residents and visitors keen to show their support for this fun-filled, yet meaningful event, can venture down to the promotion court in front of Pick ’n Pay at Fountains Mall on March 2 from 09:30 where the Kouga Express team in conjunction with Fountains Mall and Cansa Jeffreys Bay, will be waiting to shave, cut or spray their hair a multitude of colours.
This year, colon cancer survivor Helen Hugo from Jeffreys Bay will join the Kouga Express team from 11:00 to 11:30 for 30-minutes-of-blue-with-Helen – all in support of this fierce and positive ‘fighter’.
To show their support, residents can have their hair sprayed blue during this time and have their photo taken with Helen.
Helen-supporters are invited to colour their hair blue during this time
All it will cost participants are a few minutes of their time and a few Rand out of their wallets.
All funds will go towards research to help find a cure for cancer, as well as to assist local cancer patients in financial need.
