A shark alert was issued earlier today, May 25, by the Kouga Local Municipality after a large shark was spotted in breaking waves across Commercial Marine in Jeffreys Bay.
Surfer and swimmers are therefore advised against entering the water.
The shark spotting follows after the NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty crew came across a white shark in the Keurbooms River on May 18.
