Kouga Municipality recently donated masks, sanitisers and gloves to Pellsrus Clinic in Jeffreys Bay in a bid to promote health and safety among members of the community.

The Office of the Speaker also donated notebooks for community members to record their medical information in, as the clinic had no books at their disposal.

“A meeting will be held next week with the Department of Health, the clinic, the clinic committee, ward councillors and the business community to see how the Pellsrus Clinic can be assisted,” said Kouga Speaker, Brenton Williams.

“Being the only clinic in Jeffreys Bay since the 1980s, the demand for medical services has far exceeded what the clinic can deliver, especially with the growth in the number of residents the clinic needs to service. The outcome of the meeting will be communicated to the public, as well as potential solutions to the problem.”
