Well-known Kouga resident and one of the oldest property developers in the region, Dries du Preez from Fountains Estate, was re-elected as the Kouga Business Forum’s chairman for a second term.
The executive committee includes Dries du Preez – chairman (Buchner Property Investments), Lieb Swiegers – vice-chairman (Dolphin Properties), Johannes Barnard – treasurer (Moore Humansdorp) and Leilani Coetsee (administrator).
The Management Committee consists of Bernadette Swartz (Oasis FM), Wayne Furphy (St Francis Property Owner), Charlotte van der Merwe (Citeplan), Dietrich Gerber (Humansdorp Butchery), Herman Pieterse (Pieterse Inc attorneys) and Anton Ferreira (Ferreira Post Distillery).
Du Preez said that we live in challenging times with loadshedding and severe droughts that hamper all business sectors in the Kouga region.
“Bringing economic growth and prosperity to Kouga is a marathon and not a 100m sprint, and for that reason the KBF needs all the support and as many members as possible to be the driving force and mouthpiece for the business sector,” said du Preez.
He said that as chairman of the KBF, and with the assistance of the committee members, they will try their utmost to bring about economic growth and prosperity for Kouga, and in doing so alleviate poverty for all.
