Leon Nel won in the men’s category.

IN honour of Women’s Month, Kouga 8 Ball Pool and the Jolly Dolphin in Jeffreys Bay hosted two pool competitions on August 12, where male participants were required to dress like ladies or wear something pink, with prize money and best dress up for grabs.

While the women were able to compete with no entrance fee required, the men had to add a feminine touch to their attire for the day.

The pool event was a great success, and Kouga 8 Ball Pool has already begun planning their next two events, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, and in November, awareness on prostate cancer as part of Movember.

“I just want to thank everyone for their dedication and hard work, and for the support we received from the public and businesses,” said the chairman of Kouga 8 Ball Pool, Leon Nel.

At the event Sean Swart won best dress, and Matthew Brent took second place. Competition winners included Juané Myburgh in the women’s category, and Leon Nel in the men’s category.
