JEFFREYS BAY – Jeffreys Bay Tourism and LC Events Services, proudly supported by Kouga Municipality, present the second annual Theatre by the Sea festival from 19 to 21 March 2026.

This spectacular seaside cultural celebration kicks off with an absolutely electrifying performance on 19 March, featuring the legendary Joseph Clark – widely acclaimed as the “King of Queen” – who will mesmerise audiences with Queen’s timeless musical legacy.

Prepare to be utterly spellbound as Joseph Clark delivers his signature powerhouse performance, breathing new life into Freddie Mercury’s iconic repertoire.

Backed by the magnificent Nico Malan School Choir, audiences will be treated to legendary classics including We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust, We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody to Love, and countless other beloved anthems.

With over thirty years of experience bringing Queen’s music to life, Joseph has captivated audiences across the globe with his inimitable style, magnetic charisma, and commanding stage presence.

His performances have graced stages throughout South Africa, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East, numerous African nations, and, most recently, the deeply meaningful venue of Zanzibar – Freddie Mercury’s very birthplace.

Born in Amarillo, Texas, Joseph’s artistic journey began in classical ballet, where he performed as a principal dancer across the United States.

His talents brought him to South Africa to dance the leading roles of the Prince in Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet.

His transition into musical theatre proved extraordinary, becoming one of the lead vocalists in the original production of Queen at the Opera.
