Karateka from JKS Jeffreys Bay Karate Dojo secured several medals at the recent championships in Johannesburg: (back from left) Sensei Keenan Den Hoed (2 bronze), Megan Kirsten (1 bronze), Sensei Timany Mostert (1 gold and 1 bronze), (middle) Aimee Den Hoed (1 bronze), Marizaan Engelbrecht (2 silver), Lindie Engelbrecht (1 gold and 1 bronze), (front) Kian van Tonder (1 silver and 1 bronze). Keenen den Hoed, Aimee den Hoed, Kayla Jansen van Vuuren, Lindie Engelbrecht, Timany Mostert, Megan Kirsten and Kayleigh Botes qualified to represent South Africa at the World Shoto Federation Karate-do Championships in Ireland this year.
