Jeffreys Bay models from the Sophisticate Models agency did exceptionally well when they competed in the Sophisticate Models’ 33rd Top Model of the Year event on November 5, at the Boardwalk International Convention Centre in Gqeberha.
At least 108 finalists competed in seven different age categories at the Paris-themed event.
The Jeffrey’s Bay models did extremely well and Gail Brown, owner of Sophisticate Models, was very proud of her Jeffreys Bay models.
The models from Jeffreys Bay who shone at the event included, Zoe Jantjies, who was the overall winner in the junior category ages 7-9, Esther Hendricks, who was the runner-up in the senior category, ages 16 to 22, and Anica van Vreden, who was the senior photographic winner for 2022.
Sophisticate JBay opened their doors at Pellsrus Community Hall in Jeffreys Bay on August 1, 2021, and currently have 25 models who attend biweekly classes from 15:00 to 16:30.
The modelling agency will have their final class tomorrow, December 2, and will re-open next year, February 3, 2023, with Hendricks being the first trainee teacher to help assist Brown with the JBay classes next year.
Apart from the studio in Jeffreys Bay, Sophisticate Models also conduct weekly classes in Despatch and Gqeberha.
New registrations for the JBay classes will take place on February 4, 2023, at the Fountains
