Van Heerden went on to win the overall lineup, an accolade which he calls one of his biggest achievements to date.

With this, he also qualified and received an invitation to compete in the Arnold Classic which will take place from November 19 to 21, this year.

Van Heerden, who works as a personal trainer at Xclusive Fitness and as a brand ambassador for SHVFT clothing, described it as “a great honour to be able to represent Jeffreys Bay in such big events.”

He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to each and every family member and friend for supporting him on his journey thus far and moving forward.

Van Heerden will be competing at the provincials on September 18, where he hopes to qualify for nationals which will take place on October 2, 2021.

Van Heerden is particularly grateful to Renier Slabbert, of Slabbert Attorneys, who made a financial contribution so that Van Heerden would be able to compete in the IFBB Sunfest Bodybuilding and Fitness Classic.
