JEFFREYS BAY – Jeffreys Bay’s premier shopping destination, J-Bay Surf Village in the Eastern Cape, is preparing for the December holiday rush with a comprehensive renovation of four major stores and the grand opening of a brand-new outlet, promising visitors an elevated retail experience that celebrates the town’s legendary surf culture.
The grand opening is set to take place at J-Bay Surf Village on Friday, 14 November.
Mark Oliver, Group Managing Director of LA Brands, said that the Billabong Concept Store, Boardriders Outlet Store, Quiksilver Outlet and Roxy Outlet have all undergone extensive renovations to align with international visual representation standards and create a cohesive shopping environment that reflects global retail concepts.
“Jeffreys Bay is recognised as the heart of South Africa’s surfing community. It’s only fitting that we showcase our iconic brands in the home of South African surfing,” said Oliver.
“The refreshed stores honour the town’s surf heritage while introducing a modern, globally aligned retail environment that reflects the spirit of the Boardriders family.”
Oliver said that the renovations represent a strategic reassessment of the product offering across all brands.
Mohamed Dewan, General Manager for Boardriders South Africa, said that people can expect a celebration of Jeffreys Bay’s surf culture at the grand opening, delivering a vibrant, authentic coastal retail experience.
“The new store will offer a wide range of surf, skate and lifestyle apparel from Billabong, Roxy, Quiksilver and RVCA, plus footwear, accessories and technical surf gear catering to both locals and visiting surf enthusiasts,” said Dewan.
Adding to the excitement, Oliver said that the shopping centre will also welcome the International Brand Outlet (IBO), featuring quality, value-driven products from leading brands including Polo, Converse, Levi’s, Nike and Jordan Kids.
