RENOWNED South African actor, Pietie Beyers, will be talking to Express on Friday about his latest role in the movie, Wesens, currently streaming on DStv BoxOffice.

The 32-year-old, who was born in Nelson Mandela Bay and grew up in Cape Town, has starred in many local television shows, films and soapies, including the kykNET soapie, Binnelanders, in which he made his breakthrough, starring as Dr Deon Visser. He can currently be seen as the farmer, Braam, in 7de Laan.

Apart from acting, Beyers is also a podcaster and voice artist and currently lends his voice to the character of Ömer Iplikçi in the Turkish series, As Die Skoen Pas on eExtra.

Wesens is a critically acclaimed Karoo film, which was released in South African cinemas in October last year and became available exclusively on DStv BoxOffice two weeks ago. The sci-fi mystery is set in South Africa in 1967 and follows four South African intelligence agents as they investigate an unidentified object that landed on a farm in the Karoo. They record their investigation with a Super 8 and 16mm camera, trying to solve a mystery that will keep viewers guessing until the very last line.

  • The interview with Beyers will be streamed live on our Facebook pages (PE Express, UD Express and Kouga Express) this Friday at 14:00.
