The Kouga Business Forum will host two informative events, with well-known economists, Dawie Roodt and Willem Basson, as guest speakers, at St Francis Links on August 19, and at Gamtoos Ferry Hotel on August 20.

Roodt, director of Efficient Group, and Basson, Chief Business Development Officer of Efficient Group, will focus on a very important theme at both events, “Where do I position my business in our economy with the changing political environment?”

Chairman of the Kouga Business Forum, Dries du Preez, said the business landscape has undergone a profound transformation, making it crucial for entrepreneurs to adapt and reposition themselves in this new era.

By doing so, he said they can navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with this shift and thrive in the modern business environment.

“There are a lot of new positive changes taking place in the international business sector which will bring a great deal of opportunities,” said Du Preez. “I am of the opinion that new growth is moving to Kouga, and businesses in the region must be ready for this.”

Du Preez said the Kouga Business Forum’s objective is to bring fresh ideas to the town to assist businesses and to keep entrepreneurs informed about what is happening in the world of business.

For this reason, they have invited Roodt and Basson to share their knowledge with businesses in the region.

“Even though Kouga is a small dot in the bigger business world, it is still important that entrepreneurs in the area stay up to date,” said Du Preez.

“Apart from the event focusing on educating entrepreneurs, it also serves as an opportunity for entrepreneurs to share their experiences and knowledge by talking to each other. It is important for businesspeople to connect with one another because we all need each other to succeed.”

To accommodate guests, the event will take place over two days at two separate venues.

On August 19, the event will take place at St Francis Links from 18:00.

Tickets for the night-time event cost R300 per person, or R2 300 per table, which will include platters on each table.

The second event will start at 09:00 on August 20 at Gamtoos Ferry Hotel.

Tickets for the breakfast event cost R250 per person, or R1 950 per table, which will include a full breakfast.
