The Eastern Province Coastal Touchies Association (EPCTA) will host the Easter Tournament at Dolphin Main Beach, Jeffreys Bay on April 8.
According to Razaan Ogle, communication and marketing manager of EPCTA, to offer a joyful and interesting platform for young people to participate in sports, the Easter Tournament will integrate a few different sporting codes.
“The five sports which will be played on the day includes, touch rugby, basketball, soccer, a fun run, and the lifeguard games, which will be co-hosted by the local NSRI,” said Ogle.
Ogle said that numerous prizes will be up for grabs, including cash prizes, trophies for the winning teams and medals for second and third place.
In addition to the prizes for the winning teams, she said participants in each sporting code will have a unique prize category with goodie bags for the various winners.
“We are inviting and encouraging both male and female teams and individuals to participate in the upcoming Easter Tournament,” said Ogle.

Registration for each sport will also take place on the day from 09:00 to 09:30, and the games will start at 10:00.
Ogle said there will be no entrance fee for spectators and no registration fee for participants.
