Police in Humansdorp are investigating a case of robbery
with aggravating circumstances after at least 10 armed men stormed into a Wind
Farm site and attacked a security guard in Oyster Bay outside Humansdorp on
Saturday, January 23.

According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, the incident took place on Saturday at about 03:00.

“A security guard alleged that he was held at gunpoint and
tied with cable ties,” said Nkohli. 

“It is further said that the suspects broke padlocks of the
containers and stole nine rolls of copper cables valued around R 1 800 000
before fleeing the scene in two unknown vehicles.”

Nkohli said no person was injured during the incident.

A case of robbery aggravating was opened for further
investigation.

Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to
the arrest of the suspects to contact the nearest police station. Information
