Police in St Francis Bay are investigating a case of murder
after it was alleged that a police officer spotted a dead body while conducting
a routine patrol in Tarragona Street, St Francis Bay on October 11.
According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, the
body of the woman was seen lying on the roadside at about 19:00.
“An ambulance was summoned, and the woman was declared dead
on the scene,” said Nkohli.
“The deceased, who was later identified as Marelese Rollison
(30), sustained several bruises in the upper body.”
Nkohli said a case of murder was opened for further
investigation.
Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to
the arrest of the suspect(s) to contact the investigating officer, Detective
Warrant Officer Lwazi Solombela on 071 475 1831. The information may also be
