Police are investigating a case of murder after a man was fatally shot at a farm in Hankey last night, 17 August.
“On the mentioned date, at about 21:45, police were summoned to a farm on R330 in Hankey, where an unknown man was fatally shot inside the premises,” said Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, police spokesperson.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are forming part of the investigation.
“Police opened a case of murder for further investigation. At this stage, there are no arrests, and the matter is under investigation.”
According to a report by Netwerk24‘s Cara-Lee Dorfling, the deceased man was allegedly armed with a knife when he confronted the farmer and was then shot.
