Action-packed beach sport, soccer, and kiddies fun galore will keep residents and holidaymakers entertained at the Kouga Easter Festival set to take place from April 15-18.
Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks, said the bulk of the action will take place in Jeffreys Bay.
“The programme includes the third Je’Vista One Touch tournament, the inaugural Easter 5km Fun Run, and a feast of children’s activities, which young ones will be able to enjoy free on the Friday,” he said. “Football fans are also in for a treat, with the Kouga Easter Soccer Tournament taking place at the Tokyo Sexwale Sports Stadium and the Pellsrus Sports Field for the duration of the long weekend.
“Professional and social swimmers will also have the opportunity to take to the water during the weekend.”

The festival will kick off on Friday, April 15, with the well-known and well-supported Kouga Easter Soccer Tournament.
Organiser, Reggie Bezuidenhout, said up to 18 teams, including top clubs from Kouga and further afield, will take part in the tournament.
“Reigning champions, Reggie’s Academy of Jeffreys Bay, will be back to defend their title,” said Bezuidenhout. “Reggie’s Academy won the previous tournament without losing a single one of the seven matches they played to qualify for the final.”
The winning team will walk away with R20 000, while the first and second runner-up will receive R10 000 and R5 000 respectively. The tournament will take place from 09:00 to 21:30. For more information, contact Bezuidenhout at 082 654 8191.
