Kouga Local Municipality recently hosted an engaging and interactive Community Safety Forum, bringing together different stakeholders to prioritise community safety and foster collaborative solutions to crime prevention.
The forum aimed to strengthen the relationship between the municipality and the community, while ensuring that public safety remains a high priority across all relevant departments.
The primary objectives of the forum include providing training opportunities, developing best practices for crime prevention, and establishing effective communication and reporting structures.
By working closely with organised community structures, the forum seeks to ensure that the safety and well-being of residents come first.
During the session, participants actively exchanged ideas and shared suggestions on how to improve community safety.
