SOME four local tourism establishments walked away as the winners at the prestigious Lilizela Provincial Awards held at Hemmingways Casino in East London on Thursday, September 20.
The Lilizela Tourism Awards are a national government initiative aimed at promoting tourism transformation, service excellence, entrepreneurship, thriving and sustainable tourism.
The Chokka Trail walked away as the winners in the Beach Experience category – for the third consecutive year.
Tsitsikamma Lodge and Spa was crowned the winners in the Lodge Category, while Untouched Adventures triumphed in the Scenic Beauty category.

These establishments will compete for national honours at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on November 17, where the country’s best of the best will be announced and honoured.
