Fine wine . . . tranquil waters . . . water taxis . . . breathtaking views and great friends.
Cruise the beautiful canals of St Francis Bay and enjoy a glass – or more – of some of the best wine from 20 of South Africa’s finest wine producers this February.
The first Wine on Water (Wow) event is set to cruise into St Francis Bay at 12:00 on Friday, February 25 and at 18:00 on Saturday, February 26 – after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The unique event will be based at Quaysyde, with wine tastings taking place on the decks of several beautiful waterside homes on the canals.
Water taxis will transport wine-tasters to the different tasting stations – where they will have the opportunity to taste wine from 20 of the finest wine estates in the country.
The wine estates include Tokara, Babylonstoren, Warwick, Vinoteque, Cederberg, One33 Craft Rum, Geabriëlskloof, Le Lude and DeGrendel.
With the event, organised by St Francis Bay Rotary and sponsored by Investec, Rotarians hope to uplift sections of the community home to the less fortunate.
A limited number of tickets, at a cost of R 475 each, are available at www.quicket.co.za/events/97240-wine-on-water-st-francis-bay/?preview=t#/.
All tickets bought previously and not refunded, are still valid.
Strict COVID-19 regulations will be in place.
