The inaugural Easter Mile is set to take place at Marina Martinique on Sunday, April 17 – catering for all levels of swimming ability.
The event forms part of the jam-packed Kouga Easter Festival that will take place in Jeffreys Bay from Friday, April 15 to Monday, April 18.
The 400m Dash, scheduled to splash off at 09:00. will be the first event of the morning.
The Half Mile is up next at 09:30, followed by the Mile at 11:00.
“Marina Martinique is regarded as the open water swim capital of Africa,” said Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks.
“The venue recently played home to the South African Open Water Swim Championships, which was an Olympic qualifier.”
The entry fee for the 400m Dash is R100, while the entry fees for the Half Mile and Mile are R120 and R150 respectively. Enter online at www.zsport.co.za. Entries close at midnight on Friday, April 15.
