ALL construction companies in the Kouga region are urged, with immediate effect, to use treated wastewater where possible in a bid to save the precious resource.
By using treated water, construction companies are reducing their use and reliance on drinking water. This is one of the many ways the region and businesses are adapting to water scarcity and stretching our drinking water supplies for essential use.
Kouga Municipality is providing treated wastewater to businesses dependent on water, which includes construction companies, at:
- Jeffreys Bay Water Treatment Works
- Humansdorp Water Treatment Works and Humansdorp Fire Services
- St Francis Bay Fire Services.
