Police in Jeffreys Bay are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a truck hit two women on the R330 near St Francis Bay on October 25, with one dying at the scene and the other being rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, it is alleged that on Tuesday at about 16:50, two women were walking on route R330 when a truck hit them.
“One victim died at the scene, and another was rushed to hospital with injuries,” said Nkohli.
He further said the identity of the deceased person is being withheld until formal identification process is concluded.
“A case of culpable homicide was opened for further investigation,” said Nkohli.
