Kruisfontein United Rugby Club cemented their name in the history books of local sport after triumphing at their first semi-final match of the action-packed Eastern Cape Super-14 when they beat Swallows Rugby Club by 38 – 22 on March 21.
They will now compete against East London Police for the ultimate winning glory at the Kruisfontein Sports Complex on Saturday, March 25 – another first for the team and the region to have the final round of the Super-14 being played in Kouga.
Apart from being their first final match, they are also the only team from Kouga to win all seven of their matches, the first to go unbeaten in the round-robins, the first to win a quarter-final, and the first to win a semi-final.
They have the speedy backline that can unlock any defense, upfront they can be physical, but key to their play is their work ethic.
Kouga Municipality has announced their support for the local team and encourage all sport enthusiasts and residents to show their support on March 25.
