The staff and learners at Jeffreys Bay Primary School have expressed their sadness and shock after grade 6 learner Mischa Beukes (11) tragically died in a car crash on April 10 near the Kariega River Bridge.

As previously reported, Mischa and three of her family members were travelling from Gauteng to Jeffrey’s Bay when the driver (Mischa’s grandmother, 67) allegedly lost control of her Mazda 2. The vehicle left the road and landed in an open field.

Mischa and her great-grandmother Emma Jacobs (91) died on impact.

Jeffreys Bay Primary School shared a touching post on their Facebook page expressing their sadness and shock.

The post reads as follows, “Our earthly life can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye and the pain experienced by loved ones left behind is indescribable.”

“Our deepest sympathy to her family and relatives. May God wrap you in His comforting arms of grace.”
