A suspect was arrested in Jeffreys Bay on August 21, after armed response officers found him
fast asleep inside a house he had allegedly burgled in Torchwood Street.

Fidelity
ADT Gqeberha branch manager, Bernadette Nel-Naude said, “Our armed response
officers were sent to investigate a report of a house robbery on Monday, August
21. When they arrived at the address, they quickly realised the alleged suspect
was still inside the house.”

She
explained that to the officers’ amusement, they discovered the suspect had
apparently helped himself to some of the alcohol in the home and had passed
out.

“This
meant he did not hear our officers arrive and could not make any kind of
getaway,” said Nel-Naude.

“He will now get a chance to sleep off his hangover, safely locked
behind bars.”
