The coastal town of Cape St Francis is set to host the grand finale of the highly anticipated Rip Curl GromSearch from September 29 to October 1, drawing the best junior surfers from across South Africa.
This year the spotlight will shine brightly on the premier u/16 division, where the winners will not only claim the coveted winner’s trophy, but also walk away with a R6 000 cash prize.
The tournament is a Surfing South Africa event and will have u/12 boys and girls’, u/14 boys and girls’, u/16 boys and girls’, and u/18 boys and girls’ divisions competing.
The competition is a premier SAST event, with 1 000 points for the winners and prize money per premier event.
