JEFFREYS BAY – An 80-year-old man died when the motor vehicle he was travelling in was involved in an accident on the N2 between Mondplaas and Jeffreys Bay this morning, 28 January.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, it is alleged that a collision between a truck and a VW Tiguan occurred at about 04:30 on Wednesday morning.
The Tiguan immediately caught fire on impact.
“The deceased was the driver of the Tiguan and the only occupant. Police have opened a case of culpable homicide for further investigation, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are forming part of the investigation,” said Nkohli.
